Week Zero

Only three days of school and I already know most of the students’ names! This week was pretty light, with some introductory activities and a lab safety experience. The shortened periods have been a blessing; I’m all done teaching before lunch. 🙂

Next week we’ll start into our content. We’ll discuss the nature of science, the scientific method, how to design an experiment, and the properties of matter, along with other basic need-to-know info. Do I have everything that we’ll be doing planned yet? Absolutely not. Am I looking forward to all the neat stuff that we’ll possibly do? Absolutely yes! We had a positive start to the year and I’m hoping to keep that rolling into our first full week. 🙂
